Landscaping with Concrete . . . The
Budget Alternative
Adding Outdoor Living Area's Does
Not Have To Be Pricey. . . Stamp Concrete Makes Your
Landscaping Budget Go A Long Way

The
outdoor areas of our back yard have become so essential to our
backyard retreats that it was among the top 10 features ranked
"very important" by home buyers in the 2007 Profile of Buyers'
Home Feature Preferences, published by the National Association
of Realtors. And more than half (54%) of those surveyed were
willing to pay a premium for a patio.
Designing outdoor spaces with
concrete, however, does not require that you pay a premium price
to get a premium product. Concrete can be stamped,
engraved, stenciled or textured to resemble pricier stone or
brick pavers—at a fraction of the cost.
With
the use of stains and other coloring methods, you can achieve
just about any hue imaginable, whether you want to match the
stone facade of your house or blend in with the natural
landscape.
Concrete is easily formed into any shape to
accommodate backyard space restrictions and is environmentally
friendly. Installing a concrete patio not only is cost effective
but is more environmentally friendly than a wood deck, because
it saves lumber and eliminates the need for regular maintenance
with chemical based wood stains and sealers.
"It looks fantastic…the pattern and color choice are
perfect. We are excited to be able to walk through that
area and not get mud on our shoes. It will also be nice
to not have to clean off the dogs paws when it rains.
The area really looks much better and we couldn’t be
happier!" - Todd Michael, Greensboro
